Children Games Held At Sekondi.

Mr. Joseph Quansah, Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Director of Education has said that preparations are advanced for the government to include Kindergarten in basic school education in the country.

He was speaking at an Early Childhood Development games held at Sekondi to mark the 46th Independence Anniversary on Wednesday.

Mr. Quansah advised teachers to have enough time for children to enable them exhibit their God given talents since they are the future leaders of the nation.

The children who were drawn from the various schools in the Shama-Ahanta Metropolis participated in a football gala, athletics and march past as well as cultural display.

Mrs. Grace Williams, Metropolitan Co-ordinator of Pre-Schools games said when children are brought together to play it helps them to know how to comport and relate to one another.

She said games expose children to their ability in sports and enabled them to build upon it for their own benefit.

Mrs. Williams therefore appealed to parents to make their children available for such activities.

Outstanding schools in the game were presented with prizes.
