Christian Atsu relishing Vitese challenge

Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu has expressed delight at his loan move to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem and is hoping to make a positive impact at the club.

Atsu whose future during the summer transfer window was a subject of much speculation signed a five-year deal with English Premier League side Chelsea and was immediately loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem.

The 21-year-old, who is capable of playing either on the left wing or as a supporting striker, played a cameo in Ghana's 2-1 victory over Zambia in their final round World Cup qualifier on Friday.

According to the former FC Porto player, he is set and ready to improve at Vitesse to be ready for the play-off.

"As you all know I didn’t join Porto for the pre season, I was just training with them and now that I’m going to have a new season at Vitesse I will work hard to be in top shape for the World Cup," Atsu told Joy sports.
