Ghana winger Christian Atsu wants to use the Europa League to launch himself into stardom at Everton.
The 22-year-old looks set to start for Everton on Thursday night when they face Russian club Kuban Krasnodar in Europe’s second tier competition.
Injury to Belgian star Kevin Mirallas could make an opening for the ex FC Porto youngster.
The on-loan Chelsea is relishing the opportunity and wants to use it to prove himself worthy.
“The Europa League is very important for everyone at Everton and it’s a big opportunity for me to prove myself as a player,” Atsu said.
The Ghanaian will be coming up against his compatriot Rabiu Mohammed who plays for Krasnodar on Thursday.
