Clottey Headlines at Mohegan Sun

DiBella Entertainment will promote the sixth edition of Broadway Boxing Presented by Mohegan Sun this Thursday night, October 21, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT with the Ghana sensation Emmanuel "Sleek" Clottey (21-6, 14 KO's), fighting out of the Bronx, squaring off against Michael Warrick (18-1, 11 KO's) in the 10-round junior welterweight main event.

"I'm going to take him out in the sixth round," said Clottey. "I've watched his tapes, I am very confident."

On the other Bronx Bombers -- "I'm a Yankee fan," Clottey, wearing an official Yankees cap, added." They are going to take it tonight."

The "Bronx Bomber" hopes to show the same slugging prowess as his baseball borough-mates have illustrated at times against their arch rivals, the Boston Red Sox.

Top-notch New York area fighters Aneudi "El Estudiante" Santos (11-2, 8 KO's) will face Aaron Norwood (21-3-2, 10 KO's) from Hattiesburg, MS in an eight round light heavyweight bout, Queens up and coming cruiserweight prospect "Hino" Ehikhamenor (8-0, 5 KO's) will take on Columbus, OH native Aneterio Vines (4-3, 1 KO) in a six round bout, Brooklyn's Curtis Stevens (1-0, 1 KO) will square off against Detroit light heavyweight Larry Carter in a 4 round battle and Bridgeport super middleweight Jaidon Codrington (3-0, 3 KO's) will be featured in a 4 round super middleweight bout.

"I am very comfortable fighting so close to home," said Codrington, the Hartford native. "I have great confidence in the ring. I have made the adjustment from amateurs to the pros."

Boston native Michael Beverly (4-0, 1 KO) will face New York's Anthony Chuma Ottah (1-3-1). The rivalry will continue from the baseball field to the boxing ring as these two heavyweights battle in a four round matchup.

The widely popular series has captured the fancy of fight fans by regularly showcasing New York area fighters on the rise. The fight week press conference was hosted by DBE today (Tuesday, October 19) at 11:00 AM at Acme Bar & Grill, 9 Great Jones Street between Broadway & Lafayette.

This exciting Broadway Boxing Presented by Mohegan Sun card will be rebroadcast at a later date on HDNet in high definition, as well as on Madison Square Garden Network, Fox Sports Net New England, Empire Sports Network and Comcast Sports Net Chicago.
