Clottey predicts knockout

The World Boxing Council {WBC} number 5 contender from Ghana the gate way to Africa, Joshua Clottey aka " THE HEATER'" has confidently and authoritatively declared that he is going to win the Welterweight division unification fight coming this December 5Th 2009 ,in Atlantic city in New Jersey against Siego Martinez.

Joshua declared he is very serious and determined and leaving no stone unturned to defeat the title holder Martinez. He hopes to bring smiles to the teaming fans and also prove to the boxing fraternity that the " THE HEATER' is back to boxing business.

He is humbly urging the Ghanaian Community and boxing fans to come out in their numbers to pray, clap, drum and sing for him to win back the WBC'S Welterweight title and also to come along with Red, Gold and the Green colors, and when ever he sees the flag of Ghana, and the crowd he feels like dying for my country.Â

In an exclusively interview with this freelance Journalist at the fully packed 20Th Anniversary of the Brong Ahafo Association of the New York, about a fortnight ago, the Osu born boxer disclosed that he will make sure that the fight will not travel the stipulated time. He admitted that he lost his fight due to some unforeseen circumstances and does not want to say any stories about the lost fight. All he is concerned about now all now is mapping out a strategy to neutralize my opponent and getting into very serious training, by making sure that he laughs at wrong side of his mouth.

He explained further that his trainer, Mr. Djan Clottey aka “Alloway" his manager Mr. Vincent Scolpino an American Italian and his Promoter Mr. Bob Arum of the TOP RANK are behind him towards his pending fight in the Atlantic City.

Answering how he departed from his former trainer, Mr. Kwabena Asante whom he had been together with for a long period of time, Clottey said that it was very unfortunate that they are no more working together.

He preferred to skip discussion on this as he considers it a very private issue. He however admitted that he bears no grudge against his former trainer as he also believes his former trainer does not have anything against him.

He believes his former trainer’s vast experience in boxing will be of great help to others.

The Ghanaian boxer who has adopted Bronx a suburb of New York as his second home was accompanied by one of the Hip-Hop crowd pullers Kofi Boakye aka "Kofi Bee" and Fiifi of " Efiewura's fame.
