Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has notified clubs that their financial management will be crucial in meeting the Club Licensing requirements before the commencement of the 2024/25 football season.

Addressing the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) workshop, the GFA leader emphasized that, unlike in the past, the financials of clubs will play a significant role in the upcoming season's licensing process.

"Since 2019, we have been on a journey to continuously improve our systems, processes, and the overall health and management of our football.

"I am pleased to report that, over time, the licensing board has collaborated effectively with all of you. We are aware of the standards expected for the new season.

"In the past, we did not prioritize the financial documents you submitted to meet the licensing requirements.

"This will change next season. Therefore, those who have not fully complied with this requirement must improve their performance. I am issuing this warning as a note of caution," Kurt Okraku advised the clubs.

The GFA calendar indicates that the 2024/2025 Premier League season is scheduled to begin on September 6.
