Many Ghana Premier League clubs have demonstrated readiness to kick-start the season with some releasing their songs for the season.

2015 FA Cup champions Medeama SC have taken the lead by releasing their melodic promotional song for the season few minutes after the dismissal of the court case by Accra Great Olympics.

An Accra High Court, today, dismissed a second application for an injunction on the Ghana Premier League by Great Olympics paving way for the start of the prolonged season.

The season was expected to kick off last month but the Accra-based club filed for an injunction to stop the league from starting insisting their league status must be known despite placing 14th in the 16-club league – a position that gets clubs relegated by default.

The High Court dismissed the case for the first time but the club adamantly filed for another injunction which was also dismissed today after court hearing.

This has paved the way for the league start with several clubs demonstrating readiness to get the season underway.

With Medeama SC taking the lead in releasing their song for the season, several other clubs are expected to follow.

Many have also released several graphics to indicate their readiness for the season with Dreams FC, Inter Allies, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, all posting graphics on their social media handles to highlight their readiness to start the season.

Following the position of Great Olympics, clubs have had their estimated expenditure for the season swelled, incurring additional cost of feeding, accommodating, and transporting players to several venues for friendly matches.

With the league starting this season, clubs are sure of making some revenue from their spectators as well as ending the long suspense of when the league gets to start.
