Coach Abugri in line to handle Bawku United

Bawku United have contacted demoted Hearts of Oak assistant coach Stephen Abugri.

The second-tier side, owned by former Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga, are bent on luring the former King Faisal coach to his hometown club.

“I speak to Hon. Ayariga always because he is my senior brother and so there has been contact but for now I’m still a Hearts coach on the same salary despite being with the junior team,” Abugri told GHANASoccernet.com

Abugri was accused of undermining head coach Herbert Addo and was re-assigned to handle the youth team.

He swapped positions with Dauda Lutterodt who is now second-in-command at the senior team.
