Coach Charles Kwabena Akunnor, head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has said, he is satisfied with the goalles draw game against Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya in the first leg of the Confederations Cup competition, last Saturday.

Coach Akunnor said, though they were expecting a win over the East Africans, he was pleased with the draw and would commence preparations immediately on arrival, to ensure their progress to the next stage of the competition.

Speaking to the media after the match, coach Akunnor said, they would not be consumed by complacency, since they have no reason to be overconfident.

“We are not going to relax. The target is to qualify for the next stage and we are going to work hard to achieve that.

“I don’t want to be selfish. This was an away match. We have to go back home, do a bit of homework and find a method to win the second leg,” he said.

According to coach Akunnor, the team tactically disciplined adding that, they played to their strength.

"What they did was all they could give because we also made it difficult for them. I know what to do win in Ghana.

“We are satisfied with the result because we didn’t lose. We could’ve won because we had chances to score. We came here to get a good result," he noted.
