Black Stars Coach CK Akonnor is ready to manage the egos of players should it occur.

The former Kotoko and Hearts of Oak trainer named his 23-man squad for the double Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan later this Month.

Akonnor handed invitations to four local-based players with Tarique Fosu of Brentford and Hapoel Ra’anana attacker Eugene Ansah all earning their debut call-ups.

Many are however concern about some possible egotists figures which may occur in the squad.

The ex-National star says the issues of player management remains key in his plans.

“Whatever happened in Brazil is gone but that is why I’m a manager and as I told you, one of the things discussed was mainly off the field issues so it’s been part of it, no doubt,” he said.

“Definitely, they embrace the truth that there must be a change. I’m looking forward to [meeting] them. When they get here, we will see how it goes but everything is under control.

Having briefly served as the deputy for former Coach Kwesi Appiah, Akonnor was appointed by the Ghana Football Association in January this year.
