Coach Dramani not impressed with Kotoko's striking

Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani is unhappy with his side’s conversion rate despite thrashing Sony Nguema 7-0 on Sunday.

The Ghanaian champions got their CAF Champions League campaign to the best possible start before an impressive crowd at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Striker Kofi Nti-Boakye hit a brace with goals following from Michael Anaba, Abdul Aziz Yusif, Richard Mpong, Seidu Bancey and Joseph Ochaya.

Despite the impressive goal return, the team failed to convert several goalscoring opportunities – some of them very glaring.

And coach Dramani reckons his team must improve on their efficiency upfront if they are to first finish off the tie and make a meaningful impct in the competition.

“It is a good win but we need to improve on our striking,” he said.

“We could have scored more goals hadnt not been our inability to finish off some of our moves.

“This is something we need to work on before the second leg.”

Kotoko who are making a return to the continental competition after a four-year absence are now well placed to progress to the second preliminary round.

They travel to Equatorial Guinea in a forth night for the second leg encounter full of conidence with their impressive win.
