Coach Orlando would not be deceived by recent Kotoko form

Accra, Nov. 23, GNA - The head coach of Berekum Chelsea FC, Orlando Wellington has declared that he would not be deceived by the recent performance of Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of Sunday's Week 13 meeting at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.

Kotoko are experiencing some torrid moments having managed just one point from their last five games, but the head coach of the league leaders insists he would not be 'fooled' into thinking they will be pushovers. Wellington told GNA Sports that 'big' Clubs experience such setbacks, but their tendency to overcome them makes them exceptional from others. "Kotoko is not as weak as people think. They have a strong team and have a huge backing whose presence can influence the outcome of a game on any day.

"Whenever they experience such problems, they organize themselves and bounce back."

The Black Satellites trainer observed that they will give Kotoko a good run of their money since their minds are fixed on holding unto the top spot. "We will give Kotoko a good match. We are training very hard and we are focused on maintaining our hold of the top spot."

Coach Wellington added that the Club's target is to finish the first round on the summit of the standings, which will keep them in pole position for the Premier League title.

"We want to finish the first round as leaders with a huge margin. With that we will remain on course for the ultimate."

The coach who joined the 'Blues' of Ghana soccer barely a month ago, said he is enjoying his spell with the Berekum-based Club. "Chelsea is a big family and very united. It is a privilege to be working with such a Club", he added.

Kotoko beat Chelsae 2-0 in their last meeting at the same venue last February.
