Medeama capitulated at the death to concede three goals in six minutes and surrendered the lead to lose 3-1 at Memolodi Sundowns in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff first leg on Saturday.

The Mauve and Yellows shot into the lead in the 1st minute through Eric Kwakwa whose thunderous shot from just outside the box flew past the Sundowns goalie Sandilands.

But the Brazilian never gave up and drew level on 81 minutes when Colombian import Leandro Castro in headed a corner at the near post with goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe.

Four minutes later Khama Billiat's innocuous volley flew over and above Tagoe who was caught flat footed.

In the 87th minutes, substitute Cuthbert Malajila shot in from inside the box after a lovely work on the left flank.

The return leg will be at Sekondi Essipong Stadium on 18 May 18 for the return leg with the winner advancing to the Group stage.
