There were goals! There were tears! There was controversy! And there was rain! What more can we ask of in a World Cup final?
On Sunday, France became world champions for the second time ever after a thrilling 4-2 triumph over plucky Croatia in the World Cup final.
It marked an exciting end to an enthralling one-month global fiesta - a quadrennial gathering of the best 32 national football teams on the planet.
France started slowly in Sunday's final, requiring Mario Mandzukic's 18th minute own goal to make their first statement.
Ten minutes later, Ivan Perisic hit back for The Blazers with a powerful shot to level the score to 1-1.
Inter man Perisic, however, became villain 20 minutes later when video assistant referees spotted him handling a ball in the box. Antoine Griezmann stepped up and expertly converted the penalty to put France 2-1 up.
Moments after recess, Les Bleus added a third goal through Paul Pogba, before Young Player of the Tournament, Kylian Mbappe made it 4-1 on 65 minutes.
Four minutes later, Mandzukic pulled another goal back for Croatia after pouncing on ball when goalkeeper Hugo Lloris attempted a futile dribble.
That effort wasn't enough to prevent France from adding to their 1998 triumph, with coach Didier Deschamps becoming the third man to win the World Cup as a player and a coach.
Below are some reactions from Ghanaians on what was indeed a perfect climax to the 32-day football festival:
