Black Meteors defender Edward Sarpong has bemoaned the effects of the deadly Coronavirus on his main source of income and hopes that it comes to an end soon.
The 23 year old is currently on loan at Farense from his parent club Portimonense and has played 14 league games for the second division side before the league was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
He is currently in self isolating in Portugal and hopes that the virus will end soon.
"The coronavirus has put everything on hold. It has worried all of us because you know that we footballers sometimes we struggle because most of us didn’t go to school or didn’t further our education so football is our only source of income to feed ourselves, our family, our friends and those who need help from us," he told Ark FM.
He added: "We are praying to God that he helps us so that this virus ends and we get back to football so that we get some money to feed ourselves and our loved ones."
