Crentsil Named Vice President of GFA

The Hearts of Oak Chief Executive stood unopposed in Tuesday’s election to replace Jordan Anaglah who passed away some months ago.

He was duly elected by officials of the Electoral Commission of Ghana as the substantive Vice President after other members opted not to contest the astute administrator.

Crentsil says he will use his experience to continue the positive development of Ghana football.

“The GFA is currently strategizing to come with its four-year business plan geared towards making football development in Ghana globally competitive,” Crentsil said.

“The strategic focus as envisioned would be a five-tier approach that would deepen and rekindle the future prospects of Ghana football.

“With the help of my colleagues and friends in Ghana football administration we will drive this agenda forward to continue to enhance the status of Ghana in world football.”

Crentsil comes in with his rich experience as an accomplished procurement consultant for a British company based Tecnorth Limited in Ashford, Kent.

He was the procurement consultant of Austrian Aid for medium scale industries in Ghana.

Crentsil previously worked with the British High Commission in Ghana as the Aid and Commercial Officer where he was in charge for bilateral aid for Ghana.

Crentsil founded Ghana’s St Mirren Football Club from second division, helping them to reach the top flight-league before moving to become the leader of former African champions Hearts of Oak. ENDS

Kyeremeh voted onto Emergency Committee

Mr Emmanuel Kyeremeh, the Berekum Chelsea chairman, was voted onto the Emergency Committee of the GFA to replace Fred Crentsil on Tuesday. Kyeremeh defeated Admon Munkaila in the election by grabbing 13 of the 18 votes. He takes over from Crentsil who was named as the vice president of the GFA earlier in the day. Kyeremeh comes in with his rich experience in the banking industry and an accomplished accountant. Kyeremeh, who led the young Chelsea team to qualify for the 2012 Champions League after just eight years of existence, says he will use his experience to further boost the game in Ghana. “I am already familiar with the way the game is run in this country and in this position I will be able to use my experience in football administration to further improve the game of football in Ghana,” Kyeremeh said. “Football administration in Ghana has many experienced people and I will join them with my experience and expertise to continue to develop the game.” He is the general manager of NDK Financial Services, one of the respected banking organizations in the country.
