A two-day tournament to prepare the national cricket team for the West African Quadrangular championship, will be held at the Achimota Oval beginning on Saturday, March six. A statement issued in Accra yesterday by the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA), organisers of the tournament, named the participating teams as the Indian Community, raising two teams, Accra select sides A and B and Obuasi club. At stake is a trophy, donated by Mr David Quagraine, president of GCA. The GCA said plans were also afoot for Ghana to play Nigeria in a warm-up game before the championship, scheduled for Banjul, The Gambia next May.
