Ghanaian winger Kevin Prince Boateng has described Eintracht Frankfurt's triumph in the DFB Pokal as unbelievable after they stunned Bayern Munich 3-1 to win the title.

The Berlin-born forward returned home at the Olympiastadion, where it all began for him during his days with Hertha Berlin to help Frankfurt to victory.

The Ghanaian set up one of the goals in the 3-1 victory and saw the entire duration of the game as Frankfurt won their fist title since 1988.

The 31 year old said after the game it was an unbelievable feeling for the club.

"It's just unbelievable, I said we're going to win the game, compliments to this team, everybody said we're shot out of the stadium, but we showed our hearts and shot Bayern Munich out of the stadium," Boateng enthused. "Those who believe in themselves will be rewarded and we were rewarded today, "said the 31-year-old.

The DFB Pokal is the forward's first trophy in Germany, after playing previously for Dortmund, Hertha Berlin and Schalke.

Boateng joined Frankfurt at the beginning of the season after terminating his contract with Spanish side Las Palmas.
