Former Ghanaian international, Abubakari Damba, believes Adam Kwarasey and Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer, Nassam Yakubu, will work together well after the goalkeeper announced his return to international football.
The US-based goalkeeper took time off international duty after the 2014 world cup and slammed the quality of the goalkeeper’s trainer and the conditions in the Black Stars camp afterwards.
But Damba does not expect that to affect their working relationship with the goalkeeper back. “He had differences with the trainer which is normal but it has been a long of time now.
Football is now player centered and not coach centered so I am sure that they would come to a good consensus and I am sure we will see better performances as a result of that.”
Kwarasey could make his first appearance for Ghana in over sixteen months if he plays for the Black Stars against Canada next week in Washington.
