Goalkeepers Coach Abu-Bakr Damba says he will not turn his back on the National team if he is appointed as a replacement for under fire Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Nasamu Yakubu.
Reports reaching Sportscrusader.com say Damba is in line to be appointed as the next goalkeepers coach for the Black Stars after a marathon meeting with the President of the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday, April 28.
Though details of the meeting between the two personalities are scanty, sources close to Damba have hinted that the former national goalkeeper will be the replacement for the Medeama SC goalkeeper with the Black Stars.
Quizzed if he will grab the opportunity if it presents itself, Damba was of the view that he will take up the challenge.
“I take up challenges and if I am appointed to solve specific problems I will do so, we have problem with our goalkeepers and if I am appointed for that challenge what not I will grab it with two hands”. Damba told Sportscrusader.com
