Dan Acquah misses Kotoko's Africa boat

Accra, Jan 20. GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be tackling the preliminariess of the Confederation African Football (CAF) Champions League without some key players in the list of their 26-man squad presented to CAF last week.

Notable among them is Dan Acquah, one of the key defenders of the club, together with Joe Louis, experienced Joe Okyere and newly signed on George Yamoah.

The club will however have another opportunity to make four new additions to the list when the club is able to reach the money zone of the competition.

A source close to the Kotoko camp told the GNA Sports in Accra on Tuesday that among the 26-man squad are George Owu, Louis Quinoo and Mohamed Alhassan as the goalkeepers while Aziz Ansah, Godfred Yeboah, Joe Hendricks, Isaac Owusu, Micheal Ofosu Appiah, Daniel Yeboah and Issah Ahmed are the defenders.

The midfielders are, Micheal Asante, Steven Oduro, Yusif Chibsah, Eddy Owusu Ansah, Charles Taylor and Kwame Adzagba, with Shilla Alhassan, Micheal Osei, Kwodjo Poku, Imbola Sanji, Nana Arhin Duah and Frank Osei as the attackers.

Four new players namely William Tierro and Sam Addo from Liberty Professionals with Elvis Opoku and Kweku Essien from Kwaebibrem Unitedand Maamobi Mitdjyland were included in the list.
