Ace sports presenter Dan Kwaku Yeboah has questioned the honesty of the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, following his claim that the FA does not influence selections into the Black Stars.

Speaking on Peace FM, Kwaku Yeboah rehashed Kurt Okraku’s previous statement that the FA would exercise some control in the selection process for the Black Stars.

Kwaku Yeboah contends that the previous statement contradicts the claim made by Kurt Okraku when he appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Youth and Sports.

“He said that if you are a coach and expect him to do selections for you, he would sack you. Was he not the same person who said on the radio that the days of coaches making decisions independently are gone and that the FA would influence it? Which one should we accept?” he quizzed.

Kwaku Yeboah also dismissed concerns by Kurt Okraku that organizers of the #SaveGhanaFootball protest should have consulted the GFA before embarking on the demonstration.

He urged Kurt Okraku to do an honest assessment of his reign as President of the Ghana Football Association and determine if Ghana football is headed in the right direction under him.

“Who should jaw-jaw with him? Does this FA listen when we speak? Why would you lie like that? When RTU played a fixed game with his club, Dreams FC, what didn’t we say about it? Did he make any move? That was the first time in football that the result of a fixed match was accepted. I have never seen anything like that. Does his conscience judge him right about how he is handling Ghana football? Is he happy with how Ghana football is being managed?” he quizzed.

During his appearance before the committee, Kurt Okraku said "If I hire a coach who expects me to select players for him, I will fire that coach because that is not the kind of coach we want to work with. Black Stars players are selected by the technical team of the Black Stars, led by the current coach Otto Addo."
