Ghana's self-acclaimed dancehall king and hit maker Shatta Wale was paid GH¢ 400,000 [US$ 70,000] by the new owners of Legon Cities FC to promote their first home match against Asante Kotoko, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
It is unknown if the club intend to make the musician its brand ambassador for the season.
Shatta, who controls the streets as they say in the music world has got a massive following on social media and the announcement of his involvement has enticed may non-football fans.
His Shatta Movement fans are the most vociferous and vibrant fanbase in the country and are expected to answer the call of their 'President 4Lf'.
He is expected to perform many of his hit songs before and during half time to entertain the crowd.
Legon Cities FC management is convinced the 'I Know My Level' hit-maker can draw his followers to the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night.
