Daniel Opare rejects Standard Liege new contract offer

Ghana defender Daniel Opare has rejected a new deal from Standard Liege, according to reports in the Ghanaian media.

The 23-year-old’s current contract with the Belgian giants runs out at the end of the season and they are eager to get him to ink a new deal.

But according to Accra-based Asempa FM, the former Real Madrid Castilla defender has refused to renew his contract as he is angling for a move to an unnamed Italian Serie A side.

Opare has spent four seasons at Standard Liege as he joined them in July 2010.
