Former Asante Kotoko attacker Dauda Mohammed has revealed he was a little disappointed after hearing the sacking of C.K Akonnor from the club.
According to the Ejsberg attacker, the club should have maintained the coach for at least another season looking at what he achieved during his short stint at the club.
“Yes I was a little bit disappointed, because I was watching their CAF Confederations Cup last season, I really like the way they were playing.
“Because few years ago, Kotoko could not keep the ball for a minute or two, but last season you could see the players passing and moving the ball. Doing a lot of movement with the ball even winning in some away games. It was quite impressive.”
“I thought they could have kept C.K to build up on last season performance and hopefully this season could have been better.”
Dauda Mohammed also refused to blame the management for taking such decision by insisting they also know what they are doing.
“But the management know what they are doing, they are those taking care of the club. They are directing the club and know why they sack him.”
C.K Alonnor has since been appointed as the assistant coach of the senior national team the Black Stars.
