Ashgold shot stopper Robert Dabou has expressed his readiness to continue developing his trade under the guidance of Fatawu Dauda.
The 2009 Under-20 world cup winning goal keeper revealed the smooth relationship between him and Fatawu Dauda despite battling each other for the top spot.
The lanky ex Wa All Stars goalie featured sparingly as Bashiru Hayford ended the miners 19 year domestic hoodoo.
Robert Dabuo, who started the season in such a fine form for Ashgold until the return of Fatawu to the camp of the miners revealed his relationship with Fatawu ahead of their conticontinental assignment.
According to him, “I and Fatawu are very good friends. We talk, play and discuss everything together. We also correct ourselves after each match. His presence makes me a better goalkeeper and puts pressure on me to work hard” On the upcoming season and the 2016 CAF champions league, Robert minced no words in expressing their readiness for a title defense and a lengthy continental journey.
“We are preparing very well to defend our league title and management is also doing their best to beef up the team with some new players so that we can go further in Africa”. He told sports crusader.
Robert Dabou swapped Wa All Stars for Ashgold after six year marriage affairs with the Wa based premier league representative. The lanky goalie has since earned the respect of coaches and fan alike with wicked goal keeping on weekly basis.
