Ghanaian striker David Manuel Opoku scored twice for Al Egtmaaey Trablosin the Lebanese Premier League but his team lost 2-3 at home to Al Ahed last Friday.
Opoku, who has become a talisman for his side since joining the Club at the beginning of the season, proved his worth when he secured a brace for his side at the Salam Zgharta Club Stadium in Zghart.
His impressive effort, however, could not help Al Egtmaaey Trablos avoid a painful defeat at home.
The former Chelsea youngster shot his side into the lead after just 10 minutes before Lebanese striker, Abbas Ali Atwi, equalised for the visitors.
The Ghanaian, however, showed class bagging his second on the day with a wonderful strike in the 22nd minute to put his side back into the lead.
Al Egtmaaey Trablos could, however, not hold onto the lead as they allowed in goals from Mehdi Fahes and Ahmad Zreik to lose all three points at home.
Opoku was in full throttle alongside fellow countryman, Nicholas Cofie, who was also in action for Al Egtmaaey Trablos.
The Ghana U-23 striker has now scored six goals in the Lebanese top-flight which puts him in contention for the Lebanese top scorer award, which was won by Michael Helegbe last season.
