Ghana's dream of a return to the Euro-African Zone Group One went up in smoke over the weekend, after a 4-1 trashing by Tunsia in Tunis. Ghana will have to wait for their last chance to remain in the Euro-African Zone Group two when they face a yet to be named opponent in September. Defeat in the tie would culminate in Ghana's relegation to the unfashionable world of Euro-African Zone Group three, one of the lowest rungs in Davis Cup tennis.
Ghana dropped five places - from 67 to 72 position - in the new ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking after the defeat last weekend.
