Dede Ayew wants Swansea to keep momentum going

Swansea City star Andre Ayew hopes the club can perpetuate their good form when they play Brighton and Hove Albion in their next Premier League game on February 24.

Following a poor start to the season, the Jack Army seem to be on some form of a renaissance, having lost only one of seven league games under new manager Carlos Carvalhal.

On Saturday, they recorded another three points, after earlier wins over the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal, following a 1-0 home triumph over Burnley.

“The whole team is doing really well,” said Ayew, who made his debut for the club in Saturday's fixture following a Deadline Day transfer from West Ham United last month.

“We’re showing a lot of character and determination.

“We had a few chances in the first half, but we didn’t get nervous and kept playing our game. At the end of the day, we got the goal.

“It’s been a difficult period for us. We may have won but there are still a lot of games to go.

"So we just need to keep our momentum going as we’ve got a big game coming up against Brighton.”

Sitting bottom of the league table at Christmas, Swansea are now two places above the relegation zone after matchday 27.

Ahead of next week's clash with Brighton, the Jacks will face Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Saturday.
