Ghana ace Andre Ayew has lauded Cristiano Ronaldo for winning the UEFA European Championship with Portugal.
Ronaldo inspired his country to win their first major trophy after a 1-0 victory over host nation France on Sunday evening.
The Real Madrid star stirred his side to victory despite failing to last the entire minutes on the pitch.
The 31-year-old was forced out of the game after picking up an early injury following a clash with French winger Dimitri Payet.
His charismatic leadership role on the bench was enough to motivate his teammates to go for victory.
Ayew has applauded the former Manchester United man for his influential role in helping his country win the 2016 European Championships.
“Sad for the French national team. CR7 @Cristiano and his team congrats,” he tweeted.
