Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide has eulogized Michael Essien for paying a visit to the Black Princesses camp in France.

The former Chelsea ace paid a surprise visit to team Ghana ahead of their opening game against France in the ongoing FIFA U20 Women's World Cup.

The 35-year-old interacted with the playing body and motivated them to fight for one of the two tickets to the next round of the competition.

The Bison's visit has been lauded by Pius Enam "Micheal Essien, thank you very much. You have proven yourself once again to be a true Ghanaian. I have seen videos of you in the dressing room and in the stands determined to support our girls. This is definitely a though match with all the advantages going for France but we remain confident in the capabilities of the team to go past the group stages. Micheal akpe kakakaaa!"

Essien was invited by FIFA to watch the opening of the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup.

The Princesses will next play the Netherlands on Wednesday in a must win game
