'Didi Dramani could be fired'

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will show coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani the exit if he fails to win a silverware this season after the side’s elimination from the Caf Champions League.

A section of the management team are not happy with the former Black Maidens coach for dropping defender Kwabena Edusei and playmaker Michael Kafui Helegbe in their 1-1 draw with Bejaia at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium over the weekend.

“Dramani has to win a trophy this season which will see the team qualifying for Africa otherwise he will be dismissed,” a top board member of Kotoko who pleaded anonymity told Goal.com Ghana.

“He got it all wrong yesterday [Sunday]. Michael Helegbe and Kwabena Edusei should have started this game.

“Dramani has to win the FA Cup or the league which will see the team qualifying for Africa otherwise he will be sacked,” the source said.

The Porcupine Warriors are through to the last 16 of the FA Cup and they are also in strong contention of winning the league which will see them qualify for either the Caf Confederations Cup or Champions League next season.
