Mas-Ud Dramani says he would have had no problem with the appointment of a technical director if he was still coach of Asante Kotoko.
A major financier of the dethroned Premier League champions Dr. Kwaku Frimpong appear to be imposing the appointment of a technical director on the club.
Dr. Frimpong had held and concluded discussions with Danish trainer Tommy Moller Nielsen to become the club’s new technical director.
This appointment is however met with stiff opposition from the club’s management headed by Opoku Nti.
There is a firm belief that current head coach David Duncan will reject the appointment of a technical director whose work will be to supervise the technical department of the club.
But Mas-Ud Dramani who was replaced with Duncan following a string of poor results midway the just ended league season says he would’ve welcomed this appointment provided the person being appointed has a superior qualification.
“I wouldn’t have any problem with the appointment of a technical director provided that person is above me in terms of credentials and experience,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
“There is a clear distinction between the work of a head coach and a technical director.
“The technical director should be able to analyze the game to the understanding of a head coach and make suggestions towards improving the team.
“So I don’t see why a coach will have a problem with the appointment of a technical director.”
