Coach Ibrahim Tanko has issued a quick response to reports linking him to the vacant head coach job at Accra Hearts of Oak.
The position has seen no occupant since the Phobians fired coach Kim Grant after a poor start to the season.
Coach Edward Odoom was promoted from his assistant coaching role to handle the job in an acting capacity but a series of inconsistent performances have renewed calls for Hearts to hire a permanent trainer.
Reports went viral on Monday morning that Tanko and former Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah have been settled on as head and assistant coaches for Hearts respectively.
But Angel Broadcast Network’s Saddick Adams is reporting that Tanko has told him the rumours are false and must be treated with the contempt it deserves.
Tanko, according to the Sports Obama has not agreed to any deal with the Rainbow teams is currently focused on his Black Stars B job.
