Swedru, Sept. 20, GNA - Former Premier league campaigners, Swedru All Blacks over the weekend defeated Tarkwa United 3-2 in the 10th week league match of the Zone Two National Division One League game at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
The visitors took the first bite in the 23rd minute through skipper Lantei Lamptey to leave the home team to fight through the last 22 minutes of the half without a goal.
Not even a penalty awarded the home side after Willie Brown was brought down in the vital area could help them redeem their image after skipper Fredrick Abram ballooned the ball into the air. All Blacks however managed to fetch the equaliser through striker Bismarck Aidan in the 46th minute after a defender of failed to clear a loose ball.
The home team continued to dictate the pace after the equaliser with Tarkwa United losing their initial steam as the game progressed. The incessant pressure on Tarkwa United paid off for All Blacks in the 58th minute when Kwame Akwapong increased his side's tally to two. Striker Brown who enjoyed great game crowned it with a beautiful 35-yard pile drive into the corner of the post for the third goal for his side.
Skipper Lamptey reduced the deficit for the visitors with a long drive in the 85th minute to end the game.
