The new Division One League season is set to commence on Friday, January 10, 2020.

The kick-off date is pending approval from Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.

The start of the league will be preceded by several other activities including the GFA Ordinary Congress on December 19.

The season is expected to end in July 2020.

The Division One League is a competition for tier 2 clubs who engage themselves in weekly action. The top two clubs at the end of the season will earn qualification to the Premier League.

However, the new adjustment to the Premier League will see four clubs relegated to the Division One.
