There appears to be discord within the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) regarding the future of under-fire Black Stars coach Otto Addo.

Reports from Accra-based Asempa FM indicate that members of the GFA's highest decision-making body are split over whether to dismiss the former Ghana winger, who oversaw Ghana's disastrous AFCON qualification campaign.

The report alleges details of discussions that ensued during the meeting by the Executive Council of the GFA on November 20, 2024.

“The Executive Committee requested a referendum on Otto Addo's future. Only two members of the ExCo demanded his dismissal, while ten others voted for him to stay,” the reporter disclosed.

The reporter also alleged that the ExCo addressed complaints from clubs that had received buses under the GFA’s Bus Acquisition Strategy. He claimed the GFA advised clubs experiencing issues with the buses to return them for maintenance.

After the buses were distributed, fans alleged they were not brand new, with videos circulating online as supposed evidence. The reporter claimed this issue was part of the ExCo’s discussions.

The Ghana Football Association is set to meet Otto Addo today, November 27, 2024, to decide his future following the poor performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
