Ghana’s prospective world boxing Champion, Isaac Dogbe, is scheduled to fight a WBO super bantamweight world title eliminator bout against Javier Nicolas Chacon on Saturday, July 22 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.

Isaac Dogbe represented Ghana at the London 2012 Olympics but unfortunately was eliminated in the first round of the competition.

The 22-year-old has incredible record after he began his professional boxing career. He has 16 fights to his credit and has not recorded any loss; he has 4 knockouts and 10 wins.

Dogbe’s opponent Javier Nicolas Chacon, an Argentine, 36, has a total of 29 fights, recorded 25 wins, 7 by way of knockout, 3 losses and 1 drawn game. Dogbe reckons that his fight against John Neil Tabanao has been his toughest fight as a professional boxer.

The WBO African Boxer of the Year explains that he cannot lose this upcoming battle because his dream of winning a world title is pending and this bout is a final eliminator to a world title fight.

“When someone loses, it means that the person has rich experience, he can learn from his experience. However, if a person has not lost before, you cannot look at your mistake and say this [is] where he made the mistakes, but I am not looking at his mistakes, I am looking forward to go into the ring and do what I know how to do best.”
