Bernard Don Bortey, Accra Hearts of Oak top marksman has returned to the team after his unsuccessful trials with German side, SV Hamburg in Germany last week.
Information reaching the GNA Sports revealed that the player arrived in Accra on Monday night and reported at the Hearts training grounds on Tuesday morning but could not train with his colleagues.
According to the information, Bortey started full-scale training with his colleagues on Tuesday afternoon in preparation for the clubs second leg match against Stade de Malien of Mali scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
A member of the technical team of Hearts told the GNA Sports in anonymity that the player is a possible candidate for Sunday's game when they meet Stade Malien.
Bortey left for Germany on the team's arrival in Accra last Monday after the team's first leg encounter in Mali on March 8. He was said to have been prevented from training with the German club following what they said were strange circumstances surrounding his departure.
The player in pursuit of the foreign trip also deserted the camp of the national under-23 team, the Black Meteors when they were preparing for their match against South Africa last week.
