Hearts have sharply rejected allegations of a vast 'club-sponsored' doping programme, dismissing the claims as 'groundless' and not backed up by any evidence.

Hearts appear the most physically conditioned team in the Ghanaian top-flight this season.

The players have shown massive endurance in the second half which has been at the centre of their flying start to the campaign.

Widespread media reports have claimed the players are on a doping programm, engineered by the club's Japanese coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

But the club's board member Alhaji Akanbi has quashed the claims as false.

”I was at Hearts training during the pre-season and you could see Keninch has condition the players very well," he said

"He uses ‘Yoyobag’ and other equipments to condition and maintain the physic of the players during training.

“So am very surprised people are raising all these allegations, all the allegations are false."

Hearts are top of the table after picking an impressive 13 points from 15 after five matches.
