Doya cannot do the job, if ... -Coach Duncan

The head coach of Ashgold FC, Coach David Duncan stated yesterday that if the national coach Ratomir Dujkorvic really needs three local coaches to help him perform at 2006 world cup at Germany, then Doya is not competent enough to handle the Black Stars.

He said that the coach should be ready to take praises when he performs and blames when he doesn't. Taking three local coaches according to Coach Duncan meant that he is looking for the opportunity to share blames when he does not perform.

Coach Duncan believe the work should be given to a local coach. He made this statement when talking to Jet 94.9 Mhz in Kumasi on Monday 13th February, 2006. He said "It is hard time local coaches are recognised and given the opportunity to handle the national team". Coach Duncan ceased the opportunity to wish clubs participating in Africa the best of luck. He believes they have had enough preparation and hence espect them to get to the group stages.

In a related development, the captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Edmund Owusu Ansah has called on all sympathizers of the club to pray for the club as they travel to Cameroun. He said they have had enough preparation to secure them a win in Cameroun. He thanked the management and fans of Ashgold FC for the warm reception in Obuasi. Meanwhile players and officials of Kotoko are espected to leave the country on Wednesday for Cameroun. Ghanaians wish all teams participating in Africa the best of luck.
