The highly anticipated Dr. Grace Inter-Community Football Gala is set to kick off on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. A vibrant energy filled the air on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 as representatives from the 24 participating communities gathered at the Dr. Grace's Mall for a colorful balloting ceremony, marking the official start of the competition.

The competition, organized by Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado Ketan Constituency, promises to be a celebration of community spirit, athleticism, and cultural diversity. With teams representing a diverse range of neighbourhoods and backgrounds, the event is sure to be a showcase of talent and camaraderie.

"This football gala is more than just a competition," Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah stated, highlighting the event's goal of unearthing talents, promoting sports development in the constituency, and fostering unity and understanding among the communities.

"It's a platform for fostering connections, building friendships, and celebrating what brings us together."

She also mentioned the presence of local and foreign football scouts at each venue on every match day.

The Inter-Community Football Gala is a testament to the power of sport and community, promising to be an unforgettable experience for all involved. It will also create a temporary source of income for various vendors across the different fields.

Each of the 24 teams will receive an appearance fee of GH₵600. The winner of the competition will receive a cash amount of GH₵4000, a set of professional jerseys, and balls, while the runner-up will receive a cash amount of ₵2000 and a set of professional jerseys.
