‘Dramani wants me back at Kotoko’

Yahaya Mohammed claims he is wanted by his former coach Mas-Ud Dramani to help Asante Kotoko.

The midfielder-cum-striker left the club under controversial circumstances to sign a pre-contract with Ittihad Tripoli of Libya

That decision led to him being suspended indefinitely and subsequently his release last month. Mohammed has since joined his new club who have loaned him out to Egyptian side Ittihad Alexandria.

The 2014 CHAN star run into troubles several times during his stay at Kotoko but he has diffused all perceptions about his bad-boy image.

“I have a very cordial relationship with the players. I hear from the coach. He calls me and we chat. You can call him and ask him,” Mohammed told Accra-based Happy FM.

“He needs me. He wants me to come back and play for Kotoko. If I were stubborn, the coach wouldn’t have called me.

“You can call him and ask him whether he needs Yahaya Mohammed or not and he will confirm to you. He still wants me at the club.”
