Dreams FC midfielder Godfred Atuahene joins Israeli club Ashdod FC

Midfielder Godfred Kingsley Atuahene has completed his move from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC to Israeli club Ashdod FC.

The former Liberty Professional player signed a deal to join the club for the 2024/25 season after an impressive spell in the Ghana Premier League and on the continent.

Atuahene was one of Dreams' best player during their fairytale run in the CAF Confederation Cup last season.

He made 58 appearances in the Ghanaian topflight league, scoring four goals before playing 14 times for Dreams in the CAF Confederation Cup.

"We hereby confirm the transfer of Godfred Kingsley Atuahene to Israeli side Ashdod FC. Dreams FC expresses gratitude to Godfred Kingsley Atuahene for his dedicated service and wishes him the best," wrote Dreams FC.

He becomes the second player in the past week to leave Dreams FC for Europe, following teammate Abdul Aziz Issah, who signed for Barcelona B.
