President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Kwabena Yeboah has stated that, Asante Kotoko new recruit, Edwin Tuffuor Frimpong is a raw talent insisting that Coach David Duncan will need to work on him to bring him up.
Tuffuor Frimpong who joined Asante Kotoko last month from Liberty Professionals is a versatile defender who can also play as a holding midfielder.
The 24-year-old defender since his move to the Kumasi-based club played his first competitive game for the former Premier League champions in their SWAG Cup match against AshantiGold last Sunday.
But the SWAG chief said after the game that the former Liberty Professionals defender is a raw talent hence advising David Duncan to vigorously work on him to make him a better player.
In an interview with Ghanasoccernet.com the staunch Kotoko supporter said “I was a bit impressed with the defence of Kotoko but not the attack. However, Duncan will need to work a lot on Edwin Tuffour Frimpong to make him a better player. He’s just a raw talent.”
Edwin Tuffour is one of nine players who have joined the Porcupine Warriors in the last few months ahead of the coming league season.
Asante Kotoko offloaded nine players to create way for the new players as they look to revamping their side for the upcoming season.
