EIB’s Henry Asante Twum leaves Accra for France to watch PSG crowning

Group Head of Sports for the EIB network Henry Asante Twum will be in Paris this weekend to cover the penultimate round of games in the French Ligue 1 with the match between Champions Paris Saint-Germain and Dijon being the highlight of this weekend’s matches.

The game, on Saturday, will see the astute journalist be among the Special guest at the Parc des Princes stadium courtesy StarTimes, the Official Broadcast partner of the French Ligue 1.

The trip dubbed “VIP Tour” will give him the opportunity to witness the crowning ceremony of PSG as League Champions. Whiles in France Henry will be a guest at Friday night’s football exhibition program called “100 Years of French Football Federation“ and also visit key tourist sites in Paris.

Henry Asante Twum who is one of the best Radio and Television Football commentators in Ghana will on Sunday interview former Olympique Lyon and Brazil midfielder Edmilson. Edmilson won Three French Ligue 1 titles with Lyon in 2001, 2002 and 2003. He later played for Barcelona where he won two La liga titles and the 2006 UEFA Champions League.

The French Ligue 1 has produced a number of top African talents including Ghana’s Abedi Ayew Pele, Nigeria’s Austin Okocha and the legendary George Oppong Weah, now President of Liberia. Currently two Ghanaian players Baba Abdul Rahman and Abdul Majeed Warris play in the French Ligue 1.
