Norway international of Ghanaian descent, Alexander Tettey has shared his delight to the imminent return of the English Premier League next month.

The 2019/2020 football season in England has been on hold since March as a safety measure against the spread of the Coronavirus.

At a meeting this week, the leaders of the English football association has been given the green light to see to the resumption of football on June 18 by the government.

Speaking to VG, Norwich captain Alexander Tettey noted that the news is very positive.

“It is very good, and the club has said all along it must be completed. It is very positive if everything is going well and perhaps most importantly that health is good”, the hardworking midfielder said.

He added, “We started up again on Wednesday with groups of more than five people. First practice was yesterday with groups of ten.

“I'm excited about whether we can play training matches. In Norway you get to play training matches, but I haven't heard anything about it. There will be damage and wear. It will be intense training, before it would be a quieter week before the matches.

“We have everything to play for. We will give everything we have to stay in the Premier League."

Tetteh, 34, has made 23 appearances for Norwich City this season and has scored and assisted a goal as well.
