Management have denied owing Ebusua Dwarfs players after report broke out that players have not received the salaries for months including new signings, but coach Sarpong feels sabotaged by his players following two successive defeats.
Head coach of the Cape Coast team, J.E Sarpong has stated that Ebusa Dwarfs are in crisis; playing below par, hence taking two losses in a row.
Ebusua Dwarfs have suffered two successive Ghana premier league defeats against Dreams FC and New Edubiase at the Robert Mensah and Len Clay sports stadia respectively.
Sarpong has questioned the commitment of his players in the two defeats.
“I don’t really know what is happening in the team, I don’t know what is happening after two matches . . . As for me coach Sarpong, I don’t sit to supervise losses,” he said painfully.
“Off course the defeat is very disappointing, very dishearted that a team that have been put together from division one and scored that maximum points with a top scorer with 30 goals, one cannot even see him in the game.” he furiously said.
According to coach Sarpong, he will stay on for the third game and will decide after that crucial game against inform Accra Hearts of Oak at the Robert Mensah Stadium over the weekend.
“People know the caliber of coach Sarpong, they are listening and watching and I cannot supervise the sort of play by the Dwarfs team, either the players don’t want to play for the team or they don't like the manager like how it happened to Jose Mourinho at Chelsea or something is wrong somewhere,” he added.
Ghana sports have gathered players have not been paid for some months now and that management are working harder to pay salaries owed and pay new signings the money due them before they face Hearts at the weekend.
