English-born Ghanaian Eddie Nketiah has agreed personal terms with French giants Olympique Marseille, Footballghana.com can report.

Nketiah, who plies his trade for English giants Arsenal has emerged as a top transfer target for Marseille in the ongoing transfer window.

Marseille are looking forward to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2024/25 football season following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Marseille have agreed personal terms with the England international. However, the departure of Nketiah from Arsenal to the French outfit hugely depends on both clubs, who are yet to agree on a deal.

Nketiah, despite delivering crucial goals for Arsenal in recent seasons, has found opportunities limited due to the presence of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard. A move to Marseille could offer the 25-year-old a more prominent role.

Marseille reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League in the 2023/24 season but finished eighth in Ligue 1, missing out on European qualification.

The club are aiming to strengthen their squad to challenge for a top-four finish next season.
