Edward Afum wants Hearts return

Striker Edward Afum has issued a come and get me plea to the technical team of Accra Hearts of Oak as he wants to stage a comeback in the coming season.

The player who spoke to sportscrusader.com on Monday mentioned that he has been thinking about it for a very long time adding that he feels he did not do enough in the Hearts colours when he was signed on, a couple of seasons ago.

“I want to return to Hearts of Oak because now I am not attached to any team and also a free agent. I have been thinking about this for some time now and I feel the Phobians will afford me the right platform to re-launch my career as a player”, Afum mentioned.

According to him, he made moves to make a return during the era of head coach Mohammed Polo and even contacted its CEO, Neil Armstrong Mortagbe to discuss with him.

“The response I got from that meeting was good, but a few weeks later he (Neil Armstrong) left Hearts, so it became a little difficult for me. But I still have my sights set on Hearts and wish to return”, the former Asante Kotoko striker added.
